Your Hosts
Paul & Emily Grubb

Montana brought us together,
Paul’s heritage brought us home.

We know first hand what it feels like when you want to spend the rest of your life together. And, what it means to have friends and family gather to celebrate one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make.

We met in Montana—and when Paul’s aunt and uncle gathered our family in 2020 with a hope of someone purchasing the church and parson’s cottage, we jumped at the chance. Creating a simple, private wedding venue became a part of our vision. In 2021 we celebrated our own wedding right here at Cascadia Meadows —creating an unforgettable day surrounded by the people we have come to love most.

The Fifth Generation

The Grubb family has called the Maxwelton Valley home for five generations. In 1903, Paul’s great-great-grandparents John and Sarah Grubb and great-grandparents George and Effie Grubb moved from Kansas and founded a Free Methodist Church on the corner of French and Maxwelton roads. The distinct building built in 1910 with locally milled cedar that turned brown as it weathered became a community landmark known as The Little Brown Church.

Today, that same spirit of hospitality continues at Cascadia Meadows, where we carry forward a legacy of gathering communities with warmth and welcome. We have poured our hearts into the land to make it even more spectacular. We covered a large parking lot with grass, planted over 600 trees and a thousand native plants to create a uniquely stunning “natural cathedral.” The entire place is imbued with love and intention for those who come here to write their own stories of new beginnings.

in the news

We have created a space where
everyone is welcome to celebrate.

With a combined 20 years in education and professional experience managing high-end commercial construction projects in the Seattle area, we bring an incredible balance of organization, creativity, and heart to everything we do. We want everything to be picture perfect for your special day. We are excellent communicators, reliable and resourceful partners, and joyfully accommodate our guests.

We are deeply connected to our community of local vendors and artisans who share their passion for making each celebration unique and meaningful. We have been told many times that we are the easiest to work with. We think that is true.

Our goal is simple:
to make your wedding day as beautiful, RELAXED & memorable as our own.

At Cascadia Meadows, you’ll find more than a venue — you’ll find friends who care deeply about helping you celebrate love, connection, and new beginnings.
