We Care About What We Leave Behind.

    Ecological Footprint

At Cascadia Meadows, sustainability isn’t an afterthought — it’s part of the heartbeat of the land. We believe that a beautiful wedding and a healthy planet are not in tension with each other. In fact, we think the most meaningful celebrations are the ones that leave something good behind. That belief shapes everything we do here, from the way we power the property to the way we care for the soil underneath your feet.

We have planted more than 600 native trees and thousands of native plants across the property, not as decoration, but as restoration. These are species that belong here that support local pollinators, birds, and wildlife, and that deepen the natural beauty of the meadows and forests you will celebrate within. When the last guests heads home and the last light is turned off, Cascadia Meadows returns to what it has always been at its core: a living, breathing wildlife sanctuary.

    Powered by Solar

The property runs on solar power and draws from an onsite well, meaning that your celebration here leaves a lighter footprint than almost anywhere else you could choose. No municipal water, no grid dependency. Just clean, thoughtful energy in a place that takes its relationship with the natural world seriously.

After every event, we recycle and compost as much as possible. We also maintain active vermiculture worm bins on the property, turning organic waste into rich compost that feeds the very gardens and native plantings you celebrated among. Nothing goes to waste here if we can help it.

When you choose Cascadia Meadows, you’re not just choosing a beautiful setting. You’re choosing a place that shares your values - one that believes the land deserves to be honored, not just used. We are proud stewards of this corner of South Whidbey Island, and we will care for it long after your wedding day, just as generations of this family have before us.
